FSM Voucher Update

6th July 2020 By davidlanglands

Free School Meal (FSM) Vouchers

Due to high demand the organisation processing the voucher scheme (Edenred) is finding there is a delay. When the organisation processes the backlog of orders, emails will be sent to the individuals who registered for the voucher scheme. This delay is not under our control and we too are waiting on further details.
You can read the companies FAQ here, who can answer most of your questions. Unfortunately all we can do as a school is check your identity and place the order.
Any issues with the voucher or Edenred, must be directed to Edenred by:
Email: freeschoolmealsparentscarers@edenred.com

School FAQs

Q) When will I receive my voucher?

A) Vouchers are ordered by the school after you have passed our identify checks. The school sent our several text messages and emails before Easter asking parents and carers to register. If you didn’t register, or if your details didn’t match our system, then we couldn’t order your vouchers. This is to prevent fraud and check that your vouchers have gone to the right person.   If you passed our identify check, you will receive a £15 code by email every week. You will need to follow the instructions on the email to redeem your voucher. If you have more than one child you may have a voucher in multiples of £15 e.g £30, £45 etc.   If you didn’t register, then make sure you have emailed fsmvoucher@seahamhighschool.com with your child’s name and parent name.

Q) How do I redeem my voucher?

A) You will receive an email from ‘Edenred UK <hello@email.edenred.co.uk’. Make sure you have checked your inbox, junk and spam. You may need to add this address to your contacts to stop it from being blocked as spam. In the email you will receive a 16 digit code which you copy and paste into the Edenred website. You can click here to access the website. Make sure you change the value on the ordering website from £10 to the value of your voucher. Then choose your supermarket and follow the onscreen instructions. It is best to use this service on the evening or early morning when less people are on their site. During the day it is almost impossible to redeem a voucher. You will instead receive constant error messages.

Q) I haven’t received any vouchers – What should I do?

Vouchers will only be issued if you passed our identity checks. The school sent our several text messages and emails before Easter asking parents and carers to register.   If you didn’t register, then make sure you have emailed fsmvoucher@seahamhighschool.com with your child’s name and parent name.   If you have been told that your vouchers have been ordered, but not received them, you may need to wait. The company is overwhelmed with orders and it is taking on average one week from order to receiving an email. It might take longer!   Worst case scenario, if after a week, email fsmvoucher@seahamhighschool.com where we will try to resend it (assuming the website is working) or we will need to cancel your order and reorder. This will begin the process again and can take a week or more to receive the order.

Q) Where can I spend the vouchers?

  • Sainsburys
  • Tesco
  • Asda
  • Morrisons
  • Waitrose (John Lewis)
  • M&S food
You can split your voucher to spend part of it at different shops.

Q) I’m receiving error messages on the website:

A) It is best to use this service on the evening or early morning when less people are on their site. During the day it is almost impossible to redeem a voucher. You will instead receive constant error messages.
