New Student President!

23rd March 2018 By davidlanglands

I am delighted to share the news that following a rigorous application and election process, Rhianne High was appointed as Seaham High School’s 2nd President on Thursday 15th March.  Following an outstanding letter of application and an inspirational presentation / interview with a panel of 4 members of staff (Mr Shield, Mrs Forster, Mrs Robbins and Mr Parker), Rhianne then went on to gain 44% of the votes from students and staff.

One of Rhianne’s goals in her new role is to further develop links in the community, nationally and internationally by strengthening the links that have already been made with our twin school in Germany.

Well done Rhianne – we know you’ll do an amazing job!

Alongside Rhianne High we have THREE newly elected Vice Presidents.  (This wasn’t the plan!)  Whilst Ellie Crocker was the clear leader of the Vice candidates, both Lewis Duncan and Aaron Hamilton were joint second and have been provided with the opportunity to share the role.

Well done to Ellie, Lewis and Aaron – I’m sure you will do an amazing job of supporting Rhianne as a trio of Vices!

I would like to take this opportunity to formally congratulate each and every one of our candidates; Aaron Barnes, Neave Cummins, Luke Grayson, Harry McBeth, Lewis Purdy Proudfoot, Aisha Molly and Ellie Murray.  You were all fantastic throughout every part of the election process and will all go on to be leaders in the future!

Mrs Forster
