Last Tuesday 26th September we celebrated European Day of Languages, where we launched our new subject Spanish. We had a fun filled Spanish themed day, tutor groups took part in a Europe themed quiz- well done to winners 7ATC, 8HAD and 9LAX. Students tasted some Spanish cuisine- we had a tapas taster session where we tried chicken paella, tortilla española and patatas bravas. We had great fun tasting and voting for our favourite dish. The winning tapas dish was Chicken paella which will be on sale this week as part of our brunch and lunch menu. We also put on our dancing shoes and learnt some salsa dance moves. Students had great fun dancing and listening to Spanish music in our new lit up dance studio. The winner of our European Football themed treasure hunt was James Cox. Well done James! To round off the day some students attended our first MFL movie club where we watched the Spanish film Rio. An excellent day experiencing Spanish culture. Muy bien y gracias a todos! Well done and thanks to everyone involved.
